Baruch Athletics Celebrates National Girls & Women in Sports Day

National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) is an annual observance held in February to recognize the achievements of female athletes; the influence of sports participation for women and girls; and the progress and ongoing fight for equality for women in sports.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, the Baruch Athletics Department and the Student Athletes Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted a celebratory luncheon honoring the accomplishments of Baruch’s female athletes.
Speakers included student-athletes Angela Bacarella (Basketball), Bridget Campanelli (Softball), Ava Deguzman (Tennis), Tertia Dobrzynski (Swimming), Isabella Doring (Volleyball), Caroline Gallagher (Softball), and Paz Moran (Cross Country), as well as Heather MacCulloch, Director of Athletics and Recreation, and Carrie Thomas, AD Assistant for Academics and Compliance and Eligibility/SWA/SAAC Consultant.
