Baruch College is back on The Princeton Review’s Best Colleges list for 2026, marking 18 years in a row that the College has been nationally recognized as one of the nation’s top institutions for undergraduates.

Only about 15% of America’s nearly 2,400 four-year colleges make the cut each year for the annual guidebook. The Princeton Review’s selections are based on surveys of 2,000 college administrators along with feedback from more than 170,000 students across the country about their academic and campus experiences.

Recognized for Value, Career Success, and Alumni Network

Baruch stood out as a “Best Northeast” college and was ranked among the top public schools in the nation:

    • #16 – top 20 best alumni networks
    • #19 – top 50 best value colleges
    • #20 – top 20 best career placement

    Academics That Shape Futures

In its profile of Baruch College, The Princeton Review pointed to its “wide variety of courses” and “ad-hoc majors which allow students to design programs that will support their career goals.”

Students praised the College’s “vast amount of resources” and describe it as “well organized and up to date with the current world.” Baruch’s strong affiliations with many New York companies “creates even more opportunities for internships as well as jobs.”

A Vibrant Campus in the Heart of New York City

Students call Baruch’s Newman Vertical Campus on Lexington Avenue a “hive of activity.” With more than 130 student clubs and organizations, there’s always something to do from “hanging out in the club area, playing in the game room, working out in the gym, or taking classes in the trading floor.”

The College’s location in Manhattan adds another layer of opportunity. Students enjoy free access to world-class museums, while nearby shopping and plentiful dining options are “amazing” and “you can practically do anything with your day.”
