Baruch is the #1 top college in New York and the #2 best public college in the North, according to the U.S. News & World Report ranking of regional universities in 2024.

Overall, Baruch ranks #9—moving up five places from last year—and tied at #1 for social mobility.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the rankings are based on several factors that signal “how well the institution educates its student body,” such as the quality of the faculty, graduation and first-year retention rates, student-faculty ratios, student debt, among others.

“It is gratifying that Baruch’s high-quality academics, value, and excellent post-graduate outcomes continue to be nationally recognized,” says Baruch College President S. David Wu. “A top-quality education that is accessible while delivering outstanding career outcomes is critical for our country’s infrastructure for opportunity. Baruch aspires to be a national model for access, excellence, and outcomes.”
