- Representing a 14-position jump from a year ago and 50 positions higher than 2021.
- #39 among 207 institutions around the world
- An 18-position improvement from last year and 86 places better than two years prior.
Zicklin Faculty Conduct Impactful Research
Nanda Kumar, Professor and Chair of the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics, welcomes the high rankings but is not surprised given the impressive caliber of the Zicklin faculty.
“The jump in rankings confirms what we already know within the department — that our faculty conduct high-quality, impactful research that gets published in top journals,” said Professor Kumar.
“Our rise in research ranking will increase our visibility in the Information Systems field and will also help us develop a stronger PhD program. Further, this kind of research productivity also helps highlight the research environment facilitated by the Zicklin School of Business.”
The AIS ranking is based on faculty publications in the top three of the leading Information Systems journals.
Many of the faculty members who published in these academic journals practice engaged scholarship as they also teach industry-relevant and in-demand courses such as Big Data Technologies, Natural Language Processing, and Data Ming, among others.
