Baruch College Makes The Princeton Review’s “Best 385 Colleges” 2020 Guidebook

Baruch’s education system received praise by The Princeton Review for being “well organized and up to date with the current world,” and Baruch has ties with many companies in New York, which “creates even more opportunities for internships as well as job opportunities.”
Baruch College is one of the nation’s best institutions in the country for undergraduates to earn their college degree, according to the annual guidebook “The Best 385 Colleges: 2020 Edition” released by The Princeton Review.
The popular book for prospective college applicants and their parents surveyed 140,000 students nationwide who rated their schools on dozens of topics ranging from academic excellence to quality of campus life. Baruch is among only 13% of four-year colleges in America to make this year’s edition.
‘Impressive Number of Career-Developing Programs’
The Princeton Review’s profile of Baruch College and its three schools—Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and Zicklin School of Business—says there are a “vast amount of resources” available to its students.

The profile adds that Baruch has “an impressive number of career-developing programs on campus that are free of charge and readily available to all students,” and “it is clear that the professors at Baruch have first-hand experience in the material they are teaching to students.”
‘Full of Bright and Ambitious Minds’
The Princeton Review extols Baruch for its global diversity and having students with “bright and ambitious minds.” Baruch is “full of first generation college graduates,” The Princeton Review said, and “everyone has a dream they hope will one day be fulfilled.”
High Marks for Campus Life
Located centrally in New York City, students surveyed for the book said they “can practically do anything with their day” as museums are free for students and there is shopping and a variety of food options near Baruch. At Baruch, students said there is so much activity on campus that is often hard to choose, from “hanging out in the club area with the clubs, playing in the game room, working out in the gym, or taking classes in our trading floor.”
The guidebook includes rankings in areas that address the social aspects of campus life. Baruch received high marks in the following categories:

Methodology
The Princeton Review’s 2020 edition surveyed 140,000 students who attended the 385 colleges during the 2018–19 and/or the previous two school years. The company does not rank the 385 schools in the book hierarchically. The survey asked students 84 questions about their school’s academics, administration, campus community, and themselves.
