City & State has named Baruch College President S. David Wu one of New York’s most influential leaders in the Asian community for the second year in a row.

The Power of Diversity: Asian 100 “recognizes the most notable Asian American individuals in the state who are making a difference in government and politics, including public officials, business executives, nonprofit leaders, advocates and more.”

City & State noted that President Wu, who was also included on the inaugural list in 2020, is Baruch’s eighth president and the first Asian American to lead a college within The City University of New York (CUNY) system. They also highlighted the launch of Baruch’s Multidisciplinary Financial Engineering Hub in May as “an interdisciplinary collaboration to provide students with real-world financial trading experience by industry experts.”

Baruch alumni New York State Assembly Members Ron Kim (MPA ’06) and Yuh-Line Niou (MPA ’11) were also included among the Power of Diversity: Asian 100 list.
