    Baruch College is #1 for Social Mobility: CollegeNET

    Baruch College once again ranks #1 on CollegeNET’s 2024 Social Mobility Index (SMI), the premier benchmark recognizing how institutions move students from low-income families into good paying jobs.

    Previously, Baruch claimed the top position on CollegeNET’s SMI list for seven straight years from 2015-2021, and among the top ten for more than 10 years.

    The SMI evaluates 1,205 four-year colleges and universities according to how well they hold the line on tuition, enroll students from low-income backgrounds, graduate their students into good paying jobs, and apply their promotional messaging towards social mobility.

    CollegeNET’s ranking adds to recent top placements from the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Niche.com, and The Princeton Review recognizing Baruch for offering students of from all backgrounds an excellent education at an affordable price, as well as providing robust support services that help students succeed in school and after graduation.
