Dr. Sabrina Kizzie, a doctoral lecturer in Baruch College’s Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, is among six business and marketing leaders who will be inducted into the American Marketing Association (AMA) New York’s Hall of Fame.

According to the AMA, the Marketing Hall of Fame is the “only distinction that rewards excellence in marketing across all sectors. It recognizes marketers who influence both their peers as well as future generations through extraordinary contributions to the field.”

At the May 15 ceremony held at UM Global Headquarters in New York City, Kizzie will also receive the AMA New York Choice Award. This honor is presented to an inductee who “leverages the city’s iconic energy and grit that is quintessential New York to inspire brilliance and empower marketers to do something epic,” according to the trade organization.

“This recognition holds profound significance for me,” Kizzie says. “I am now being placed among a cohort of distinguished marketing leaders celebrated for their excellence and innovation in the field.”

Kizzie, who holds a DBA from California Southern University and an MPA from Long Island University, teaches in the Department of Communications Studies and is a nationally recognized social media and digital media expert with more than 15 years of cross-industry experience.

Dr. Kizzie’s groundbreaking research on mobile advertising marketing was featured on CBS New York, showcasing her innovative thinking and ability to contribute to the field. Kizzie has appeared in publications including Crain’s New York Business, Yahoo! Sports, MSN, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Mann Report, THE CITY, and blackenterprise.com.
