Baruch College Student Joins Exclusive Class of Watson Fellows
May 6, 2025

Watson Fellow Ethan Wen, a first-year student, is laying the groundwork for a career in digital marketing.
Baruch College student Ethan Wen (’28) has been selected as one of just 15 students across New York City to receive the prestigious Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship—an opportunity reserved for high-achieving undergraduates with exceptional promise as future leaders.
A first-year Macaulay Honors Scholar at Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business, Wen is majoring in marketing management and pursuing an Interdisciplinary Minor with Honors in New York City Studies. His selection places him in the 26th cohort of Watson Fellows, a group recognized for their leadership potential, teamwork skills, integrity, and commitment to diverse perspectives.
Expanding Career Horizons Through Watson
“This Fellowship will help me understand how I can take my marketing education at Baruch and apply it to various organizations,” Wen said. “Instead of having a narrow view on what my career can be, Watson will allow me to delve into different fields through marketing and how far its impact can be.”
The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship is a transformative three-year program that provides students with paid internships, personalized mentoring, and a rich slate of cultural and educational opportunities.
For his Watson summer internship, Wen is pursuing a placement with the Museum of the Moving Image, Asia Society, Museum of the City of New York, or American Documentary, a national nonprofit media arts organization.
“I hope to explore aspects of marketing, media production, and different avenues of sharing diverse perspectives,” Wen says.
“Any of these organizations would aid me in gaining a greater understanding on how important it is to share different narratives, cultures, and stories.”
