Baruch College Undergraduates Win Gilman International Scholarships
May 21, 2024
Seven Baruch College students have been awarded a prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
The Gilman Program “enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.” Candidates must be receiving Federal Pell Grants during their applications or during their abroad experience.
With a Gilman scholarship, which is up to $5,000 to defray study or intern abroad costs, students “gain proficiency in diverse languages and cultures, skills that are critically important to their academic and career development.”
