Baruch Storytelling thru Video
In 2017, Baruch College hired its first-ever multimedia production manager to visually, and more effectively, communicate Baruch stories from across campus. Since that time, more than 150 videos have been produced working with the three schools, institution units and departments, as well as launching two ongoing programs, “Baruch Rocks” and “Trending@Baruch.”
“When I joined Baruch College, there was great need to produce in-house multimedia materials you would otherwise get from an agency or production company,” said Multimedia Production Manager Nicolas Caccese, who has nearly 15 years of experience in this industry. “My job is to find creative ways to maximize opportunities to share the Baruch story through digital and multimedia channels. Being honored by the Telly Awards in 2020, 2019, and 2018 alongside major news agencies, production companies and advertisement agencies, is a recognition to be shared among our many campus partners as we work together.”
Caccese also brings his skills and knowledge off the Baruch campus, as he is an adjunct teacher of film and media production at St. John’s University.
“Our constant efforts at Baruch to find creative storytelling always gives me fresh ideas to share with my students,” Caccese added. “I also get to see their perspectives when they’re constructing their own stories. So watching my students find their voices enlightens me how to be a better storyteller for the entire Baruch community.
