New York, NY, February 20, 2019 – Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business released the second volume, issue one of its Research Paper Series sharing the latest studies and findings from its faculty.

The January 22 publication featured three papers that examine the following topics:

    • Detecting Opportunistic Special Items (Kalin S. Kolev, Department of Accountancy)
    • Do Corporate Insiders Use External Signals in Performance Evaluation? Evidence on SEC Comment Letters (Rong Huang, Department of Accountancy)
    • Assessing the Department of Education’s Proposed 2018 Revisions to its Regulations under Title IX of the Education Amendments Act (Marc Edelman, Department of Law)

“Our faculty are continuously conducting research that have significant and important impacts on business and society,” said Qing Hu, PhD, editor of the series and senior associate dean for academic affairs and innovation in the Zicklin School of Business. “The findings of academic research are frequently of great interest to the business community. We hope that with this series we can provide an open, free, and valuable resource for our constituents, especially the media.”

The Zicklin School of Business launched its research paper series in January 2018 in collaboration with the Social Science Research Network. For a free subscription to this series, please send your contact information to Sarah Loebis (Sarah.Loebis@baruch.cuny.edu).
