Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business Publishes Latest Research Paper Series
Executive Compensation, Importance of Whistleblowing Today, Sports Gambling Proceeds and IP Rights, and Startup Accelerators are Topics in the IssueAugust 27, 2018
Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business released the seventh issue of its Research Paper Series sharing the latest studies and findings from its faculty.
The July 30 publication featured four papers that examine the following topics:
- How Well Does Agency Theory Explain Executive Compensation (Dr. Chen Li, Stan Ross Department of Accountancy)
- Where Do Accelerators Fit in the Venture Creation Pipeline? Different Values Brought by Different Types of Accelerators (Romi Kher, Management Department and student Shu Yang)
- What Would We Do Without Them: Whistleblowers in the Era of Sarbanes-Oxley & Dodd-Frank (Jennifer M. Pacella, JD, Department of Law)
- Lack of Integrity? Rebutting the Myth that U.S. Commercial Sports Leagues Have an Intellectual Property Right to Sports Gambling Proceeds (Marc Edelman, Department of Law)
“The Zicklin Research Paper Series is an informative platform that makes our faculty members’ research more available and showcases the expertise within the Zicklin School of Business to broader academic and business communities,” said Qing Hu, PhD, editor of the series and senior associate dean for academic affairs and innovation in the Zicklin School of Business.
The research papers for this issue of the series come from four different Zicklin School of Business faculty members and a doctoral student, as well as co-authors in other academic institutions. The Zicklin School of Business launched its research paper series in January 2018 in collaboration with the Social Science Research Network.
