As Baruch College winds down its 50th anniversary celebration, which began in August 2018 and culminates at Commencement 2019, the College received wonderful anniversary-related news. The first in its series of three anniversary-themed videos, “Baruch College: Celebrating 50 Years of Access to Excellence and the American Dream,” was honored with a 2019 Bronze Telly Award in the category of Branded Content General–Documentary.

The 4½-minute video features alumnus and Baruch College Fund President Max Berger (’68), who recounts the dramatic story of Baruch’s fight to preserve its independence and attain senior college status. Says Mr. Berger, “I love Baruch because it represents everything that I believe in and that I stand for. It represents upward mobility and is truly, in my view, the embodiment of the American dream.”

Hear more from Max Berger and his fellow alumni from the sixties, as they proudly describe Baruch’s history and enduring mission and what the College means to them.
