Baruch’s MFE Program Once Again Ranked Nation’s Best by QuantNet
Secures #1 spot for third year runningDecember 13, 2022

Baruch College's renowned MFE program has earned another #1 ranking from QuantNet, a leading industry organization.
Baruch College’s Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) program – housed in the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences – has taken the #1 spot in QuantNet’s annual ranking of Best Financial Engineering Programs for the third consecutive year.
This latest top ranking joins a long list of honors for the program, including the #2 spot in Risk.net’s global 2021 Quant Finance Master’s Guide and another first place win in the 2022 Rotman International Trading Competition.
“QuantNet’s #1 ranking reflects the continued success of our students in launching their post-graduate careers at top financial engineering firms,” said Dan Stefanica, Co-Director of the MFE Program at Baruch College. “These outstanding outcomes would not be possible without the enduring commitment of our alumni, who year after year provide significant career support to our students. Alumni engagement remains the program’s core strength and is a harbinger of even greater achievements yet to come. We are grateful to the entire Baruch College community for their contributions to our students’ success.”
In this year’s ranking, which is based on a peer assessment, post-graduate employment rates, and student selectivity, Baruch scored higher in each of the criteria than it did last year –and notably received the highest peer score of any program on the list.
Prestigious Job Offers, Compensation at All-time High
For their ranking, QuantNet places significant emphasis on employment rates – an area in which Baruch shines. In addition to the program’s 100 percent post-graduation employment rate, compensation for graduates is at an all-time high – at $169,516.
According to Stefanica, MFE graduates receive competitive offers from the most sought-after companies in the field, including Akuna Capital, AXQ Capital, Citadel Securities, Goldman Sachs, Millennium, Morgan Stanley, Point72, Squarepoint Capital, and Virtu Financial, and others.
