Together, SUNY Broome and Baruch College are announcing a new transfer articulation which will allow Broome students to smoothly transfer to the four-year College’s Zicklin School of Business.

This articulation marks a historic partnership, as Broome is the first SUNY community college to establish a guaranteed transfer agreement with Zicklin, provided students meet criteria detailed below.

Baruch College, part of The City University of New York (CUNY) is consistently recognized nationwide as a leader in providing academic excellence and a catalyst for the economic mobility of its diverse student population. The College is located in the heart of Manhattan–one of the world’s most dynamic financial, business, and cultural centers–where SUNY Broome graduates will have access to unparalleled internship, career, and networking opportunities.

“This guaranteed transfer agreement demonstrates our faculty’s commitment to helping our students achieve their educational goals and obtain their degrees beyond SUNY Broome,” Dr. Tony D. Hawkins, President of SUNY Broome Community College, said. “It is very exciting for prospective students across New York State to know that after two years at Broome, they will be perfectly positioned to complete their four-year degree at one of the nation’s most elite business programs.”

“At Baruch, we recognize and understand the distinctive challenges that face transfer students. Here, student success is everyone’s responsibility,” said Baruch College President S. David Wu.

“Our faculty and staff are dedicated to fostering a nurturing learning environment, prioritizing a commitment to inclusivity, and providing an extensive and accessible support system. We strive to empower our transfer students, ensuring they feel not only welcomed but also a valued member of our vibrant campus community.”

Unmatched Transfer Opportunities for SUNY Broome Students

SUNY Broome’s Business Administration program offers guaranteed transfer agreements with some of the most prestigious public and private colleges and universities, with Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business being the newest addition to the list.

Per this new agreement, Business Administration students who earn an associate degree from SUNY Broome with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and satisfy the eligibility requirements for the Zicklin School of Business, will be guaranteed acceptance to Baruch and Zicklin, where admission is highly competitive due to its high-quality academic programs and successful student outcomes. This is SUNY Broome’s ninth high-quality 2+2 transfer agreement signed over the last three years, giving Business Administration students unmatched and guaranteed transfer opportunities into SUNY’s and now CUNY’s most elite business schools.
