U.S. News & World Report Ranks Baruch College among the Best Regional Universities in the North
#3 among public institutions; #2 top performer on social mobilitySeptember 13, 2021
When Baruch College President S. David Wu, PhD, began his tenure in July 2020, he articulated a vision for the College through which Baruch could emerge as a new national model for higher education: institutions that demand academic standards and rigor comparable to any top U.S. institution while providing affordable access to students who are largely underrepresented in the system of higher education.
As Baruch College students return to campus for the fall 2021 semester, new rankings from U.S. News & World Report point to the College’s success in achieving these goals.
In the 2022 “Best Regional Universities-North” rankings, Baruch continues to achieve recognition as a top public college and earned high placements in several key categories including social mobility and campus diversity.
“These rankings reflect the distinctive value proposition Baruch College offers all its students,” says President Wu. “We provide a truly transformational education, at scale, through nationally acclaimed academic programs, distinguished faculty, and extensive student support services that attend to the personal and career needs of our students.”
President Wu adds “Baruch has reaffirmed its position for delivering rigorous, high-caliber academic programs accessible to an incredibly diverse, under-represented student population. With this, we occupy a distinctive niche that also stands as a new model for higher education.”
