U.S. News & World Report Ranks Baruch Graduate Programs Among New York’s Best

Graduate programs at the Zicklin School of Business and Marxe School of Public and International Affairs secured top placements regionally and nationally.

Baruch College earned top placements among New York institutions in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings.

The Zicklin School of Business and Marxe School of Public and International Affairs garnered high rankings in the 2026 lists—demonstrating Baruch’s strength in high-quality, accessible education from its location in New York City.

Zicklin School of Business: Preparing Leaders in a Global Economy

For the eighth consecutive year, Zicklin’s part-time MBA and MBA in Accountancy programs remain the highest-ranked in New York City and New York State, among public colleges.

Nationally, the part-time MBA program rose 10 positions to #26 out of 245 public and private institutions, placing it in the top 8 percent. The MBA in Accountancy also ranked in the top 40 among 346 colleges and universities.

“This 10-point surge in our U.S. News ranking is a powerful endorsement of the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Bruce W. Weber, PhD, Willem Kooyker Dean of the Zicklin School. “Our commitment to the 719 MBA students within our community of nearly 2,800 graduate students is to continuously strengthen and update the curriculum of our flagship MBA program, working closely with our loyal alumni supporters and industry partners to ensure we meet the ever-evolving needs of working professionals.”

Marxe School of Public and International Affairs: Meeting Today’s Challenges

Baruch’s public affairs programs at the Marxe School also earned top distinction. In a ranking of 266 institutions, the Master of Public Administration tied for the highest in New York City and top 40 nationwide among public institutions.

Marxe’s specialization in urban policy ranks #1 in New York State, and nonprofit management is #1 in New York City, among public colleges.

Program innovation continues to be a key focus at Marxe. The Master of Science in City Planning is completing its inaugural academic year, and the school will welcome its first cohort into the Executive Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration program next fall.
