Mid-way through the Spring 2021 semester, students in Baruch College’s Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) program can already celebrate the best recruiting season in the program’s history.

All December 2020 and May 2021 graduates have accepted full-time employment offers in the financial industry and 92% of current students have already accepted summer internship offers.

“We are very proud of our students and thankful to our alumni, whose help makes generation after generation of Baruch MFE students successful,” said Dan Stefanica, PhD, co-director of the MFE program.

According to Stefanica, all metrics–– including the timing of offers, starting salary, and sign-on bonus–– showed improvement. Average first year salary plus sign-on bonus for December 2020 graduates rose to $150,000, as students accepted offers from the nation’s leading financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, and RBC Capital Markets.

85% of students will stay in New York, while another 11% remain in the U.S. and 4% have accepted positions in Asia.
