Baruch College’s Marxe School of Public and International Affairs launched a new podcast, “What’s the Issue?” designed to amplify conversations on public policy, governance, and global affairs.

The podcast series is a space that will feature two faculty experts exploring pressing issues that are shaping our world—challenging assumptions, debating ideas, and offering new perspectives.

“What’s the Issue? reflects our commitment to fostering conversations that matter — conversations that connect our faculty’s expertise to the world beyond our campus,” said Marxe School Dean Sherry Ryan.

In the first episode, lecturer Marco DeSena and Professor Thomas Main discussed New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s campaign and the outlook for the city’s future under his administration.
